The Northern Border

v-1) Take me to the northern border. Take me where the cold wind blows.

There's no room for me here. Now all I want to do is go.

But I'll take the time to say goodbye, try to give away whatever I own.

Tell the Greyhound driver, "Let's go. Take me some place I belong.

       If there's a place where I belong."

v-2 Another factory's closing down. They say the payroll's too high.

Yet the fact we work for nearly nothing exposes yet another company lie.

I wonder about the future of America, attacked by corporate American sharks.

For the sake of their god, the dollar, will we forget who we really are?

Help us remember who we are.

v-3) I'm grateful for the likes of you, and all the ones I've known.

Until my last day is over, I'll remember the kindness you've shown.

When I live at the northern border where the world is covered with snow.

If you've got time to go the distance, please stop by and say hello.

Yeah, stop by and say hello.
