Come To The Farm
(In memory of the Woodstock Nation)

(V-1) There’s a story that the old folks tell every now and then.
It’s about the way things used to be.
They talk about seeing revolution with eyes wide open
And looking for the true American dream.
V-2) One group had to stand and fight or another would make it crawl.
Another was pawned for politics across the sea.
The rich made deals for diamonds while just outside the door
Innocent children were starving out in the streets.

Ch.) Come to the farm and change the world.
Come to the farm and play.
A nation half a million strong was born.
And stood united for three days.

V-3) There’s a story that the old folks tell every now and then.
They talk about the way the real world used to be.
I listened to the story . Now I’ve had a look around.
And what I heard is a lot like what I see.
(repeat ch.1)
Ch. 2) Come to the farm and change the world.
Come to the farm and play.
A nation half a million strong was born.
Then everybody walked away.
